Text description provided by the architects. The Le Bourget library interior refurbishing project consists of identifying the different areas thanks to floor signaling. Writings on furniture and lightings complete the marking.
The idea behind the white concrete is that of a white page, the support for letter and text, for writing, echoing the book and the act of reading.
Different variations in the drawing of letters, in the shaping of text and paragraphs define a graphic and typographic identity for each area allowing one to recognize the type of reading involved. This principle enables one to lighten the areas, dispensing from notice boards and hanged signs.
From a technical point of view, the marking of the texts will be done by laser-cut stencils, giving the drawing its perfect shape. Several pictograms complete the definition of each area.
